Walden,

What's snow ice-cream? I guess that might mean we don't have it here, but maybe it has a different name.

All: We actually had enough snow in London yesterday to build snowmen - until some chuffheads decided to knock them to bits. My Australian friends are in heaven, having never experienced snow before we've had the best fall of really fluffy snow in a few years.

The pictures are really pretty, our London architecture, while varied, doesn't quite match up!
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that schwing

Walden...I guess this must be an Oklahoma thing.

Martin, Snow ice-cream = snow, sugar, vanilla (or your favorite) extract, milk, & eggs(you can leave these out if you are afraid of samanilla, but it gives the ice cream more texture). Just fill a bowl with some fresh clean snow, add milk, sugar, & flavoring & there you have it...snow ice cream.

LoL! I must insist that the snow you use be extremely white!!! Of course you've all read the book "Yellow Snow" by I.P. Freely right? If you have then you already know about this. <=oP~~~~~~~

Tell us something.: I became interested in the beauty and versatility of Irish whistles and music over 20 years ago when I first found the Chiff boards. Yes, I do have WHOA, and I love my whistles. :)

It must be, because I've lived various places in the US and never heard of it.

Thanks for sharing. Now if Utah would only get some snow, we could try it...

Yummy! Now with extra flavours, and added texture!

Snow ice cream is not just an Oklahoma thing but a Southern thing as well. People from the North, in general, have never heard of it. But in the South (and in eastern Oklahoma as well!), it seldom snows and snow ice cream is the first thing people think of when it does snow. I bet D. Wisely has had snow ice cream.

I must confess that I thought this snow ice-cream thing was just a joke. Who could believe that you actually EAT snow in America?

Not the first snow of the season (theoretically), though. We prefer it to snails.

We crude Americains even consume snow in its other form. In tall glass vessels or in plasticine bottles.

Thanks for recipe, Walden, that is really cool. I had never heard of it either.
