You are all so kind. And remember that you all have friends here in England, too. We are proud to consider you our friends.

Yes, folk dances in waltz time are definitely among Lesley's favourites, although she is not fond of "just a waltz" - except yesterday! She always says she waltzes better on her own, as in folk dancing she almost always dances as a man and it messes up her waltzing with a real man!

She is out being exercised now and will be back for lunch. It is fine here today and perhaps I will take her out for ice cream somewhere this afternoon. I know how to keep her happy!

I forgot to add that Lesley was looking with great interest at her hated walking stick yesterday. A nice hollow aluminium tube, quite narrow . . . It would go well with the nice hollow wide-bored aluminium tubed Zimmer frame on her work bench at home! I know what she's thinking!

You should get a low whistle made from it. Then it could help her dance instead of helping her walk. :D

So glad she's dancing. :)

Margarets Waltz

Post by trill »

Margarets Waltz!

What a lovely, cozy melody! Its one of the first I learned.

Who was the artist playing on the CD?

I'm very happy for you both! There's nothing like a waltz.

I am taking what remains of my retirement funds (I'd guess it's down to about $12.57 but I'm too scared to read the quarterly reports anymore  ) and investing it all in Puffs.

Just think, if I'd done that at the START of this long roller-coaster of a story, I might not have lost so much in the downturn!

Seriously, though, I am so happy to keep reading GOOD news now! Thanks, Ro and Lesley, for letting us become your friends.

The pleasure is entirely ours!

And Patrick, I'm sure Lesley will be making her own low whistle from those tubes as soon as we get home! She has already made several high Ds and a nice alto A, and looks optimistically at all my aluminium tubing and plumbing pipe in our garage! Not to mention old ladies' walking sticks!

I've toyed with the idea of getting on during a trip to America several times but I don't think they'd let me get on the plane with it.
