Regarding the toilets,

You need a stonewarmer for those on cold days. Reminds me of early American outhouse toilets only without the splinters.

Actually, those are somewhat easier to use than Japanese toilets.

Well, I'm curious.

I would love to see how someone two thousand years ago routinely went about working solid stone to such a perfectly geometrical shape, from quarrying the stone, refining the iron, making the tools, transporting the materials, etc.

I have some excellent photos of Roman toilets from Salamis in Cyprus, including my friend sitting on one, but I'm on my new laptop and haven't tranferred my photos yet. I bet you can't wait, can you. :D
