No need to put yourself so much out. To type an ä, just hold down the Alt key and enter the digit string 0228. To type an ö, just hold down the Alt key and enter the string 0246 (this is assuming a qwerty keyboard and Windows).

Actually, for me to change keyboards involves spinning my trackball onto an icon in the upper right hand corner of my screen, and two clicks.

However, I appreciate your advise, thank you!

Just waiting for the re-opening. I don't usually join in the fray, but this place sure is boring without the procto-port.

Besides, where am I supposed to get my non- and totally- biased reviews of recent events? Please, oh, please, Undisputed One, don't force me to resort to TV!!! :cry:

At least when it reopens we can stop talking about Sarah flippin' Palin for a minute or two and concentrate on other lightweight matters such as the collapse of the world's banking system. Socks stuffed with cash under the mattress, anyone? :D

So here it is, Monday morning, and has anyone else noticed that the deeper/darker forum still hasn't been re-opened? Are you really surprised at this? It is all part of the same social experiment. We are being measured for our responses. Even not responding is a response. There is nothing we can do. We are in the evil clutches of some dark, menacing force, and we cannot break free! :o
