I really do believe in the power of positive thought. And, although I have relatively few posts, I must tell you, you have found one of the most positive-thinking websites on the whole world-wide-web. Not to mention, the obvious love you share...
Best wishes to both of you!

Every time I turn around, I wonder where I've been.
Time to stop turning round, I guess.

Hi Roland. It is wonderful to get this clear a look at our friend in the ether of the net. She is obviously well loved, and that goes a long way in giving someone the strength to get through what has to be gotten through. Bless you both!
I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers, and look forward to having her back home with you and online with us.
Hugs for both of you,
Sarah (annie)

Thank you so much for letting me come here in the evenings. You are so wonderful and so comforting. I can't thank you enough, and Lesley will be overcome when she sees all your good wishes. She has got through the immediate post op period and is no worse, which is a good thing, although she is still very ill. Without the second operation she would have died, so it had to be done, but the strain of having two so quickly hasn't helped. She never gives up, on other people or on what she is trying to achieve, so I know she will still be fighting.
I have played her some of her favourite dance music today - Playford, barn dance, everything from her CDs in the car. I hope she heard. I have just wondered if it was tactless - she hasn't been able to dance! But I know she loves the music. I'll try whistle tunes tomorrow! I think she has some CDs of those and if not I know she has music; I will play it on guitar if necessary, and hope she recognises it.
My heartfelt thanks to every one of you, for your love and kindness to Lesley, and to me, a stranger to you. I know now why she loves this board. I hope to have better news for you soon.

Nothin' but love and concern from the Weekender.
Somehow, these things put life into better focus, making small gains seem like big ones, suspending the passage of time a bit and causing insignificant things to fall away. I hope her recovery proceeds, and her abilities and joys are regained as much as possible.
She has you. That's seems huge from this vantage point.

- Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

I'm sure she'll take it the right way. That's lovely music.I have played her some of her favourite dance music today - Playford, barn dance, everything from her CDs in the car. I hope she heard. I have just wondered if it was tactless - she hasn't been able to dance! But I know she loves the music.
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')
