Very cool, Walden! I'll take the liberty of posting your link to the construction plans here:

OMG. Wow. It's hard enough to play an instrument, but to MAKE one and THEN play it is phenomenal (even if it's "just" paper)! :boggle:

Way to go, brother Walden! :)

Nice.

I know the tune by a different name.

Having checked out your You tube page, I'd be very interested in hearing more of your Mama on the piano...some nice playing there.

That last run sounded like GF | E2 D2 C2 ||. Does the ocarina model not go up to the A?

Walden you are obviously master of the ocarina. Who'd a thought of making one from paper? and that it would play??? :o

I 'specially liked Over In Glory Land. I play that one on the pi-aner on occasion.

Mr D is right- your mom ain't none to shabby on the piano. The duet was great.

You may need to seal it. I put a few coats of Mod Podge on mine. Another person who made one advised putting tape around the window, to stiffen the blade, and on the corners to seal any leaks.

Yeah... Like Dublinn, I think that sounds an awful lot like "God Save the Queen". But Well Played, Walden!

I tried to make a paper/cardboard ocarina some time ago. Couldn't get a note out of it. I'll try your instructions sometime soon.

Impressive!
