Picture - playing two whistles at once
This, along with other pictures, is posted in the "Boys of the Lough, take 2" thread that brewerpaul started, but I see that there are few views of that thread. I think this picture is worth seeing. It's a bit out of focus, but how cool is that?!?

That's cool OK but he sure has a weird nose.
Did anybody ever try the two whistles/two players trick? You sit next to another whistle player. If there's a whistle player to my right I would put my left hand under my whistle and on the top three holes of their whistle. They would put thier left hand on the top three holes of my whistle. (I hope I've got it right). When you get the logistics of it worked out you play the same tune Cozy.

Cool! One of the "gadgets" I want to make later on, is a double whistle built with just 3 holes per side. I've read that somebody else did that, but don't recall who it was.On 2002-12-15 11:46, JessieK wrote:
You got it, Bill!
OT for the thread, but thank you again for the review. Your and Tyghress' comments about the breath requirements caused a really close look at the fipple, which was when I discovered the bad fixture (see the mainpage right column 2nd paragraph).
Cheers,
Bill

- Tell us something.: I became interested in the beauty and versatility of Irish whistles and music over 20 years ago when I first found the Chiff boards. Yes, I do have WHOA, and I love my whistles. :)
