If you go about a minute in, my kid does a backflip on his skateboard. The location is the former Albany landfill that for some reason, has a concrete pool of sorts.

And that's him playing guitar on the soundtrack.

I guess. That dump is a weird place. At the farthest point from the entry area, some local artists have erected all kinds of pop art structures and stuff. There was also a large encampment of homeless but the authorities periodically run em off... I'll see if I can find some photos of the art to link. It's very 60s.

Here is one page, but you can google Albany Bulb art for more takes on it.

the last 5 songs I heard on my iPod...just because.

Reaching for the Moon...I was listening to Ella, but I couldn't find her version, so this one will have to do. It's Lizz Wright in a PBS tribute to Ella. It's one of my favorite Ella tunes:

The Partridge Family! :)

Michael Bublé - Call Me Irresponsible

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPfsbG9m3gQ

Dylan - Tangled up in Blue

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvBkbPEoeAI

and lastly, The Dead:

Eclectic mix, no? ;) And yes, I'm a bit bored, so I thought I'd bore you all as well.

Not boring at all- but I confess I can't listen to the Partridge Family- I avoided it like the plague the first time around and have continued to do so. I like the rest.

We're birds of a feather I guess. Here's a bit of what I was listening to today while working-

Mack the Knife- Bobby Darrin

A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall- the Bob

Soul Man- Sam&Dave

My daughter and I were talking about this show tonight- was anyone else here a fan? I loved the thing-

Speaking of Nirvana (who is one of my all time favorite bands), we were leaving Seattle the night they taped Unplugged in NYC (moving back home....December 1993, 3 kids in the back of a Subaru driving across the country to get back to NY. Good times, good times ;) ) Anyway, even though MTV was taping the show, the people in Seattle got to hear them doing it live, so we listened to the whole thing as we drove. It was amazing...no other word, just amazing...

These vids were posted by me (recorded by my wife).
They were taken at the National Fife and Drum Muster at Kinderhook, NY last weekend, hosted by the Olde Saratoga F&D corps.

Read the description so you know what to look for, but here's a hint: Watch the woman in the green shirt, seated in the background.
I'm the tall guy in the front row of fifers

Don't forget to add the "&fmt=18" (without the quotes) for hi-def, if you have the bandwidth
