whistle players hornpipe

Post by andopop »

I got one of these last week from America It is interesting but doesn"t suit me as I can't get used to playing an aluminium instrument. Does anyone know of a similar thing in say brass? By the way Ive put it on ebay if anyone is interested in getting one at a reduced cost. Cheers!

I must say this is the first time i've heard of a hornpipe as an instrument. It's a fascinating thing.

Does anyone here own one? Some pictures would be nice!

Anyone know of a maker?

They make two different ones, one that drives like a bagpipe and one like a whistle. They have a clarinet like voice. Pretty cool idea. Sort of a whistle version of the zamphoon. Click on 'other products' in the link above to see the whistle version.
