Phil McCusker, Brian Finnegan, Anna Massie and Phil Cunningham.
My wife and I were at the coast this past weekend and wandered into a thrift store. I spotted a few cds and found one with this guy holding a fiddle. The guy had a mohawk, and I thought, "That looks interesting."
Anyway, it's a great cd. I'd never heard of John McCusker, so I googled him and found this video:

Here's a nice one from Welsh fluter Ceri Rhys Matthews with Christine Cooper on fiddle: 'Miss Cambilina's Delight' and 'The Guilded Room'
Ceri's flute is a large-holed R&R style 4-key by the late Dave Williams.
and some more duet sound clips are on Ceri's website: www.yscolan.info
Two Jigs - 'Miss Cambilina's Delight' and 'The Guilded Room' (same as the video clip)
Through Bushes and Through Briars (song - no flute)
Deuair Byrrion

I respect people's privilege to hold their beliefs, whatever those may be (within reason), but respect the beliefs themselves? You gotta be kidding!

I really want to like this, having liked just about everything else I've ever heard from the man... But it sounds to me like they're not quite together, and he seems to rush through a lot of his phrases and to my ears it sounds like he's accidentally overblowing the flute at times. Am I missing something?jemtheflute wrote:Here's a nice one from Welsh fluter Ceri Rhys Matthews with Christine Cooper on fiddle: 'Miss Cambilina's Delight' and 'The Guilded Room'
