It would probably be a good idea to tell us what you need to do for this contest!

She must be busy preparing her stuff, or she doesn't really need help.

Could be that she got into a fierce AIM, MySpace, or Facebook conversation. Life can be put on hold for that

Hi morgan, welcome.
One thing: it's mostly Fluters around here, not many flutists :P

Second the "Welcome". There's a few (mad) flautists too.

Just an aside, though, and forgive me if this is unduly suspicious of me, but the sudden request with no follow-up and the easy offering out of apparently direct contact info looks a trifle sus to me! Reminds me of certain kinds of trawling "contacts" one gets on MySpace etc.

My apologies if that doubt is misplaced, and a genuine welcome if you are genuine. There's loads of fascinating flutey stuff on here, and plenty of folk who are very willing to be helpful.
I respect people's privilege to hold their beliefs, whatever those may be (within reason), but respect the beliefs themselves? You gotta be kidding!

I genuinely welcome Morgan, too, if she's genuine.

well, since I started the "she"....

I assumed she because:
1) I assumed US
2) Plays flute in school
3) the OP seemed to be attempting to get us to do the assignment that had been put off (yeah, dodgy logic there 'eh!)
4) Morgan could go either way....see 1....what do we know

I did consider the issue and chose she. There is a solid 50/50 percent chance that I'm wrong. I've been wrong enough times that once more will not upset me!

I agree with Denny-

1. The terminology she uses is very similar to a high school girls, for example:
im just really nervous!

bye, bye.morgan
2. Her display name- most high school boys don't use the term "lol"

3. Like Denny said, most high school flute players are girls. It's a shame to make that stereotype, but it's true.

Our tenor sax players were cute.

Come to think of it, our flute players were probably the most unattractive :swear:

I played trumpet though, so it didn't affect me much!

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

I can't figure out if it's "LOL, a Flamingo", or "Lola Flamingo". Until otherwise informed, I'm voting for the distaff side.
