I think I need an intervention.
I just ordered a Copley & Boegli flute. This in itself isn't such a bad thing, but I already have a Healy flute, and I have an Olwell flute on order. Oh yes, not to forget my lovely Miller bamboo flute. I can't keep three timber flutes. I think I've set myself up for some tough choices. How do you owners of multiple flutes do it??
Almost forgot, I also have a Kohlert flute that I am supposed to be restoring.
Help!

When there are so many fine old flutes out there, what d'you have to go and keep these darn new-fangled repro guys in business for? (Just joking!)
Otherwise, I agree with the others - wise guys!

I respect people's privilege to hold their beliefs, whatever those may be (within reason), but respect the beliefs themselves? You gotta be kidding!

What, you haven't even got ONE proper flute yet? Shame on you! Corner of round room = too good for you, sir! Bottom of Arbo's recording well (he's vacated it now) for you to tootle in! Or in the fridge with the flaxen oilers.Il Friscaletto wrote:You are all evil.
Actually, what I'm missing is a keyed flute...hmmmm...

The 10 warning signs that you may have a problem:
1. Shopping for flutes alone
2. Making excuses, finding excuses to buy more flutes
3. Daily or frequent flute shopping needed to function
4. Inability to reduce or stop flute acquisition activities
5. Violent episodes associated with flutes (angry outbursts with customs officials)
6. Buying flutes secretly
7. Becoming angry when confronted about flute purchases
8. Poor eating habits (you buy more flutes instead of groceries)
9. Failure to care for physical appearance (you're buying flutes online in your pajamas at 3 in the afternoon)
10. Trembling in the morning especially at the thought of a) buying another flute or b) not buying another flute
