Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

In the case of Styx, both. What an interesting band. The absolute best and most banal of 80's rock. Some of their songs are so incredibly cheesy that I actually feel embarassed when they come on the radio.

Others are really inspired, well done, and all-around butt kicking. I still can't listen to "Renegade" without the hair standing up on my neck. Same with Aku, Aku. Great White Hope is fun. Mr. Roboto. Blue Collar Man. Powerful stuff.

Then "Lauralye" (or whatever it is) or "Come Sail Away" comes on...good feeling gone.

Seems like mostly their love songs suck cheese; a lot of their other songs are pretty cool. You can probably guess which songs the local "Classic Hits" station plays. :really:

I expect so. I haven't used ZZ since a series of unfortunate edit catastrophes in the nineties.

I sent an email to a lot of my friends and one of them wrote back "Haha, that's a good one" (that's the entirety of his email) as though I was joking...but I'm not. The Spice Girls are what I grew up with. I really do love their music. :)

It's not the deepest emotional music or the best instrumentalism or even the best vocal talents, but it's FUN and that's the point.
Everyone has a dark side; it's human nature. Grace lies in keeping it from afflicting others.

Much like a fetish involving pre-owned toenail clippings, this is perhaps something best kept to oneself.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

No kidding. How about that one song, "Imaginary Lover"?? I mean, really. I don't recall who did it, but what a thing to sing about.

I dunno, I gotta defend Cranberry here. I don't like the Spice Girls' music at all myself, but hey, nothing wrong with getting excited when you do like it. I mean, we'd all be pretty indignant if people laughed at us whenever we mentioned are whistles, and well, I think Cranberry's shown grace in the way he's responded.
