I can't believe there is a whistle forum! I've been playing a Walton for a year and am unashamedly obsessed! I just ordered a clarke seetone today - actually 2, one in d and one in c! I am finally getting to the point where I can remember a lot of tunes and play some reels and jigs without mistakes! woohoo! I love this website. would like info on next song books to get as I have a couple of learner books only.

Welcome, boatgirl! I'm glad you're having fun!
I recommend Grey Larson's "The Tin Whistle Toolbox." It's a learner's book, with CDs. It doesn' t have a whole lot of songs, but I like the exercises, tips on playing Irish music, and notations of where to put cuts and other ornaments, which a non-Irish newbie found incredibly helpful.
Also, check out the Whistle This website, which teaches a new song every three weeks.
