Has anyone ever tried to make a flute out of cornstalk? I'm experimenting and would like to know if anyone has any tips.

I'd be a-maize-d if that didn't work but I suspect it may be considered a little corny.

Tell us something.: I restore 19th century flutes, specializing in Rudall & Rose, and early American flutes. I occasionally make new flutes. Been at it for about 15 years.

I'm sure it would have a husky tone!
