Am I the only one..

Post by mordred »

..that enjoys smoking smoke rings from a pipe?

What kind of mixtures do you like? What kind of pipe do you own and enjoy smoking more? Any tips to smoke nice and pleasantly?
I prefer non aromatic tobacco and long bent pipes. And as for tips, I reccomend smoking in the night, especially in the open, preferably on a terrace or under a starry sky with no wind :)

I used to love a pipe, but I haven't smoked one in years.

When my father was alive, for many years he smoked a pipe.

Even though I am allergic to smoke and instantly chug up if I smell it, I still mess the smell, and I miss seeing him sitting on the front porch of my childhood home, looking out at the neighborhood and smoking his pipe.

Both my parents and that home I grew up in are gone now, but they live on quite vividly in memory.

In general, I don't care much for tobacco use; however, smoke your pipe and blow your smoke rings and know that there was once a man named Earl who would have loved to smoke with you and tell you many tales....some of which were even true.

Best,

I love the smell of pipe smoke, although I've never smoked a pipe.

Oddly enough, my father had many good years there...he had been very sick before, and he was destined for a slow and inevitable decline later, but there was a long stretch of years where his days were good and his mind was clear.

Now I don't recommend anybody ever use any kind of tobacco. Of all the available vices, that does seem to be one of the worst for your long-term health.

Even so, my father's decline didn't begin until after he completely broke the tobacco habit.

He had years after that, but they weren't as clear or as good as the years before.

I prefer to sit on a mushroom, take a toke on my hookah, blow a wispy smoke ring, look at you enigmatically and slightly surreally, and say "Who are YOU?"

you will die of something but it won't be death from NOT smoking
unless NOT SMOKING becomes an indictable offence
punishable by smoke suffocation.

That would only happen when Mr Fag is elected President
of the Fascist Socialist Republic of Nicotania.

I love the smell of a pipe- course I love tobacco, use to grow it for a living- love the smell of it hanging in the barn.

Yeah, I know, tobacco is the most evil thing right now, the cause of the worlds problems..... very un pc to not hate it. and the folks who use it.....but then I've never been accused of being pc...... I'm just a pariah......

My dad had the pipe stand, humidor, bunches of pipes- I can still see him puffing on his favorite one.... I'm tempted to ask mom for one and try firing the thing up....

I can so see you doing something like that

As for pipes. I do not smoke one, but Mr Izz does. He likes to blow smoke rings too, and the kids think it's cool.

Problem is I tend to think he'd look a lot like this:
