If you plan on getting a Mellow Dog, I highly recommend you do yourself a favor and spend the extra $5 to get a C body. The Mellow Dog is a great whistle, but I like it even better on the C body.
I've tried to put the whistlehead on other bodies, but the Feadóg body it belongs on sounds the best to me. It's sweet and pretty quiet.
I only mention this because I've seen several people mention that they didn't realize that the Mellow Dog has a C body available. Well it does - the C body it came from!

I sell tweaked C Mellow Dogs for the same price as tweaked D Mellow Dogs (US$36.50), so it's possible to have a Mellow Dog with a C, rather than D, tube.
I also sell Mellow Dog D/C sets (one whistlehead/two tubes -- a D and a C) for $41.50.
And I can send a C tube to anyone who already has a tweaked Mellow Dog, for $5.00 plus postage.
Best wishes,
Jerry

By the way, I thought that all the Mellow Dog have the C body.
Hmmm, I'm pretty sure yours is a D. Check the lowest note on a tuner to be sure. But I'm really thinking it was a D.
