Is that even legal? Can't you report them to Amazon?

Check the tags, though. "Dreadful" "Horrific" "Painful" ect.

Not totally a lost cause.

Tell us something.: Longtime member of Chiff and Fipple. I own/have owned more whistles than a person should, I think. But I’m not complaining.

My guess is Amazon removed it after they reported a host of bad reviews all at once. A year and a few months ago, I started a long process of reporting this person(s) at Ebay. I'm not certain where to start at Amazon or if I have the stomach for it right now.

I'm going to post again, this time commenting only on the content of the CD.

Oh man, this really makes me mad. I actually emailed amazon.com customer service. I objectively told them that the problem is not with the product, but with the dishonest nature of the add. We'll see what response I get. In the meantime, all honest product reviews get deleted. :swear: :swear: :swear:

I wrote to them too, and outlined the whole problem, including the fact that it was unfortunate that the honest reviews were removed while a dishonest product and seller remain. I was pleased to see that the tags are still there. :)

Ok, people. Check the customer discussion box directly beneath where the reviews used to be.

Please use your nicest penmanship, and don't use any words you would not want your mothers to hear you say.

"Objectively egregious" -- brilliant, Dale, brilliant.

(And I promise I won't ask Amazon to delete your responses if the discussion takes a turn in a direction not to my fancy.)

This is good. I think if amazon sees the ITM internet community in an uproar, they'll do something about this garbage. As has been suggested, lets try and keep everything polite.

Tags customers associate with this product
First tag: tin whistle (Eclectic Amazonian on Mar 9, 2007)
Last tag: not tin whistle

Despite Amazon's opinion tyranny, I can still have a good laugh. :P Wonderful.

I had the best laugh for years...

But here is something interesting. I recently discovered the Bohlen-Pierce 13 tone scale (with no octave!). Very academic and high brow... However

Listen to R. Boulanger, Solemn Song for Evening

Even this alien sounding eerie music actually sounds better than the "tin whistle" crap on Amazon.

However... they left the tags, and there is now a discussion, which is clearly not in favor of legitimate status for that piece of manure. I do try to consider the other side of every story, but I can't even imagine how anyone could *honestly* present such garbage as 1.) being "on Tin Whistle" or 2.) being even remotely reasonable facsimilies of Irish Traditional Slow Airs. I do note that they only *imply* it being Irish, by the name and tune titles, and don't specifically claim it to be such, but that's a fine hair to split when the quality of the recording is such trash no matter what the genre.

I notice you can share a customer photo of the product "in action"
khl, you should send in a photo of yourself burning said product.

In case it gets deleted, I liked this review that just went up:

I'd rather listen to paint dry.
Well played, McCoy.
