U.P. calendar

Post by anima »

I have been updating the calendar ( http://uilleannforum.com/calendar/calendar.php ) today and believe I am up to date through the end of august so far. Can anyone tell me if the following events will be happening this year:

Seattle Pipers/NW Folklife
Sean Nos Tionol (Standeven-Anderson)
Atlanta - IMT Summer Workshop
Splore Traditional Music School (UK)
Wisconsin Uilleann Pipers (USA)

The Atlanta IMT Summer Workshop will not be happening this year. Since we had the CCE National Convention here in April, we don't feel the need for any more workshops at the moment...

Scoil Seamus Ennis/"Return To Fingal" is on the October bank holiday weekend, which is Monday, Oct 29. The weekend should include events on Wednesday through Monday at least, i.e. Oct 24 - 29.

Thanks guys.

Also if I missed any event I would appreciate a heads up so I can get it on the calendar. I've now put in everything I can find dates for through December.

Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.
