It should be no suprise to Steve that a moderator can see when he's browsing, but there was no need for the moderator to disclose that fact. A confirmation that Steve was still alive and well and living in Cornwall would have been enough, and anyone wanting to check on Steve could send a private message without breaching Steve's decision not to post on the public boards.
I'll also chime in with agreement for what you and Talasiga said. At first I thought it was being a bit much, but after reading Steve's and Talasiga's arguments, I have been convinced that Joseph was in the wrong. But I also agree with Joseph's sentiment that there's such a thing as getting "carried away." I mean, seriously, there are bigger problems in life (such as finding one of the "good" Generations :)).

... that's not a problem, it's an epic quest!!! ...

... actually, I'm not serious about that. I have six very good generations, that includes a C which has been beat up and bent, but still plays nicely and in tune. :D

Strangely, I think Cs are, for some reason, better on the whole than Ds.

Now you must take into consideration that my Generation whistles are well over 20 years old.

So, why most concertina players don't have the haemorrhoids? Because a$$holes usually play the harmonica. Hehehe...
