thinking of goin low
consderin a low whistle They seem a little persnickity though. Any reccomendations for easy to learn models?

Burke Low Composites.
In tune. Mellow sound...not real loud. Lightweight, very easy to handle, and no real need to warm-up.
"Easy" to learn? Don't know about THAT...but if I were starting again, it'd probably be a composite Low D, Eb, or E.
Good luck with the Lows. After almost a decade, I still love the sound.
