I'm sure glad she is improving. I'll be sending good thoughts her way.

Prayers and well-wishes coming her way from me in England.

Prayers for healing are on their way, and since she's in east TN she's fairly close by.

Warmest wishes to Karen and to you. My son had pneumonia a few months ago and I was worried in a whole new way about him, even though his case was mild. He's very much back to normal and I hope that very soon Karen will be too.

John, I'll be keeping Nancy in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad she is responding well to treatment.

All the best,

Update:
Karen is still slowly improving, but the infection is worse than they thought. It turns out the bulk of the strep infection is in the chest cavity outside the lung, where the intravenous antibiotics do no good. They're planning to go in surgically today or tomorrow to try and clean it out. Please keep your fingers crossed that all goes well. Thanks.

(Nancy? Where'd that come from? Ah, Mr Tipple. You're not required to live up to your name, y'know. )

I will light a candle during joys and concerns during the church service and have the congregation send her Unitarian Universalist prayer equivelents.

Update 2:
Karen's surgery went well. Now the slow recovery begins; barring any setbacks, she'll spend 4 or 5 more days in the hospital, followed by 3 weeks of rest at home.

Thanks again to everyone for the kind thoughts. :)
