Hiya all,
As the YouTube flute treasures are being posted on the flute forum, I would like to draw people's attention to a marvellous whistle player posting clips there called Ryan Duns. Here's one of his doings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6MuTDam ... ed&search=
Brilliant stuff I think. Even with all that reverb..

Re: The fruit of YouTube
His playing is good, I think I could enjoy it even more if it was raw. The reverb takes away from the character of his playing a bit, I think. It's a shame the video doesn't sync well either, I'd like to watch him play. He does have a very smooth, flowing style and sounds very natural and at home on his whistle... has a nice lilt to it.Markus wrote:Hiya all,

Did you realize he's studying to be a priest? That's pretty cool. His whistle playing is awesome - his more recent recordings are sans reverb (a response to the criticism, it would seem). He's going to be teaching using YouTube, too.
