Maybe I should name it . . .

Probably best to put it back in your pants and leave well enough alone.

The "IT" he's making reference to has yet to be determined. And, I have yet to consume more caffiene.

I think it's a baby!

And I really think that babies should be considered ON TOPIC!!!

No, wait. I just checked and his baby isn't due until February. Hmmm. Must be something else.

Perverts.
"it" is referring to the set I was trying to sell, but didn't. It's like a stray cat . . . instead of putting it out of its misery or getting rid of it, maybe I should name it. then I'll get attached to it and will be unwilling to part with it.
Thanks for remembering the baby, Cynth. At least there's one person here with their mind out of the gutter.

I too refer to "it" as my "baby," and like to keep it out of the gutter as well because of all the grit and irritating shreds and granules of rubbish it often picks up there. Incidentally, I think I own a great set but would never consider selling them.

If you really want to sell it, the only thing to do is drop the price.

Unfortunately, it seems to me that the market for mid-range priced uilleann pipes is saturated. At least the demand isn't as strong as it was 12 months ago. Very little is being bought on eBay. Reserves are not being met.

The pipes at the higher end of the price range still seem to be in demand (Wooff, Froment, K&Q, Williams, et cetera).

I think I'm going to name my uilleann pipes set and just keep it. Financially we're okay, we've just got to do some niggling.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

I've been wanting to name my set, and just now settled on The Unholy Disorder. For now, anyway.
