The Pennywhistle Oracle! Ask and be Answered!
This is the Pennywhistle Oracle thread.
Ask and your question will be answered! If necessary, Register!
Do not expect wisdom - only answers.
The Pennywhistle Oracle is as ancient as your toenail - you might get better answers from it. BUT! I am sure the Oracle will be more entertaining!
then again ...

You have drawn "The Whistler can drown-out a cat!!!!!"Innocent Bystander wrote:So, tell me, Pennywhistle Oracle,
Are you any relation to the Magic Eight-Ball?
The Oracle says:
The player no longer suffers from pre-show nerves. He/She has faced the fears and doubts and now has the courage to reach-out beyond mere proficiency to apply a personal identity. Free of comparisons, the player now can be recognised as a person with a personal style. The audience will now seek the player out.
So in relation to the question:
yes

Hmmm. hte Oracle grows clowwwwdeeeee ...amar wrote:So, tell me, Pennywhistle Oracle,

You have drawn "Bringing the house-down in reverse"!!!!!
if I read this right - it means:
NOT A great cacophany. Unrealistic practices or false beliefs are finally NOT dashed to the ground. The player can "STILL hide in the tower of denial and will face the inevitable LATER. Surrender or be NOT crushed. The false or out-moded STILL STANDS against the great rolling bodhran of life. Perhapse the band should split-up due to personal differences or money problems BUT HASN"T. Perhapse the player's health has NOT BEEN CHALLENGED by an unreasonable tour schedule. Perhapse years of poor technique HAS NOT lead to chronic RSI. Perhapse your show has NOT been displaced by superior acts.
(Negatives in upper case due to the clouds) The other meaning is:
Has the Darkside merely let go of your tail only to grab you by some other dangly bit!
(hey man - it's just the Oracle In relation to your question - the answer is:
Bollocks (or more practice on tempo seems indicated)

You have drawn "The Peter Laban"!!!!!Joseph E. Smith wrote:I got this one PWO.amar wrote:So, tell me, Pennywhistle Oracle,
what is time?
The Time used to be the rival band of Prince and The Revolution in the movie Purple Rain.
The player submits his/her will to a teacher. He/she has faith that the ritual and formal channeling will ultimately result in his mastery of the instrument. The scales and excercises are not music, however, and it will be up to the player to produce music.
In relation to your question:
The song THE TIME is not ITM! Back to School yerself!

Amar. Too much consulting of the Oracle can lead to self-loss.amar wrote: or
However:
You have drawn the Queen of Tunes in Reverse!
hmmmmmm. If I read it right:
You are NOT comfortable with the tunes. You have SOME need of practice because you have NOT submitted to the tides of feeling within the tunes and learned to master and guide them.
In relation to your question:
I think the Oracle is p***ed-off.
(hey man - don't blame me - the words were written a year ago!)

On reflection - the Peter Labn card and the Joseph E. Smith card are very similar - I might have to bow to superior knowledge here (Prince might actually have deeper roots than I thought)Mitch wrote:You have drawn "The Peter Laban"!!!!!Joseph E. Damnit - I missread the key-holder and get a question from someone who's avatar is the key-holder.gonzo914 wrote:How do they make string?
OK.
You have drawn the blank - a message from a higher power.
In relation to the question:
Seek not the making of string - just know: it is quicker.
Another way to look at it is:
They wrap a bunch of stuff around some air to stop it getting away then roll it in a ball and sometimes put it in a box. If you untwist some and breathe deeply, you can smell their sweaty gymn socks.

Hmm. The PennyWhistle Oracle seems to have a stylistic resemblance to the I Ching, as well as the Magic Eight-Ball.
but wait! A blinding flash of realization!
Those firm and broken lines in the I Ching symbols
---THEY're WHISTLE FINGERINGS!
Great Cosmic Gravy, I see it all now! It all makes sense!
I'm going off to roll me a jig...

The Oracle sez:
(with the negatives uppered) "A lot of quick cuts and rolls ar NOT adding metre to the rhythm.
In relation to the question:
Don' roll that jig too tight mon - we already done string.
