Folks,
Hope you'll tune in to episode 2, which includes an essay (inspired by a C&F discussion) about the best first album for a new tin whistler and music from Boston's Matt & Shannon Heaton.
You can listen online at www.tinpennywhistlecast.com -- or you can subscribe with your favorite podcatcher using the address http://feeds.feedburner.com/TinpennyWhistlecast
(I hope you'll consider subscribing, as that gives us a better sense of how many people are tuning in to the show.)
We're still looking for music and stories for future shows. Whether it's a whistle song, an instrument review, or a commentary ... if it's about tin whistles, there's a place for it on the TinPenny WhistleCast!
E-mail me at tinpennywhistlecast@gmail.com for details.
Best,
Walt

But I guess you gotta filter out the spambots.

the (albeit correct) punctuation in your message messes with phpBB's ability to automatically turn URLS into links...so here they are without punctuation

- Tell us something.: Long ago, I was told that I faked iTrad whistle work very well. I took that comment to heart. 20 years of private lessons - and many, many hours of rehearsal later - I certainly hope I have improved...

- Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free - Location: Loren has left the building.

Wow, I've been quoted, let my 15 minutes begin!
Walt, nice work. Really glad to see/hear Matt and Shannon's work featured - they are wonderful folks and fantastic musicians. Shannon's playing never ceases to inspire me, and she's one of those rare folks who can teach as well as she plays. Matt and Shannon travel quite a bit for gigs/festivals, so it's well worth taking a hop to their website to check there schedule. I believe they'll be playing in CT, and PA this month, in addition to the usual Boston area gigs.
