it needed some work and so i can't really comment on the tone and response and all that.
i think Chris is happier with his R&R type flutes and rather make those.
if i had money and 20 less flutes, i'd go for the ebay one, who cares about the money, if you don't but a flute with it, it would go toward some lesser "thing" like paying bills :boggle:
i think i would be happier with no electricity but that Wilkes, but i may be wrong, (i'm sure my kids are not going to be happier ).

Tod, Jon.......1/3 each?
For my third, I will take the head joint with the fancy rings... :D

Ok, my thirtieth birthday is this week and I am a couple of weeks away from being done with a particularly difficult pregnancy. I sold all of my Irish flutes (with tuning slides) a while ago. I'm going to bid on this flute.

Jon, better yet, you can have the cork and all of the Wilkes air that is filling the flute, sound fair to you, Eilam? ... actually, I will sacrifice and take the whole thing for the first four months in order to do the cumbersome "break it in", and for the next eight months will put in a lot of hard work to develop a time share schedule for the next year - But I guess Jessie may be the one to end up with this.... couldn't go to a nicer person, .... well, maybe one... hehe

I'm quite impressed with the number of excellent flutes that the seller has put up for bid over the last few years.

Hee hee. I don't intend to build up a collection again. This flute, though, will, I think, be just what the doctor ordered.

The seller is from Snohomish County. Are you playing coy with us?

It is not me
I was guessing the town not county...
I moved from Snohomish, the town USPS wise, over a year and a half ago to Arlington, also USPS wise.

Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

I swear I know, because the ID name is familiar to me, but I can't for the life of me remember. Must be too much aluminum in my diet.....

It'll be interesting to see what this flute goes for. I've met two French flute players at Willie Week and Wilkes flutes are well liked in France. One of the players had a keyless with plain rings, whilst the other man who we've seen over the years plays a keyed Wilkes.

It's a little less than 9 hours until this auction ends. How am I supposed to get through the rest of the day?!?

I have a doctor's appointment later today, but that will kill only a couple of hours including travel time. Geez!
