Spillane Low D. I'm REALLY not trying to make trouble.

Post by Dale »

Given the bit of trouble between myself & Davy Spillane about this--I know people think I'm trying to make trouble--but I promise I'm not.

But, here's my thing. Spillane whistles were "coming soon" for a long time. Then they appeared to become available a year or so ago. When was that? We had one confirmed sighting: Bloomfield acquired one and reviewed it. Before that, I'd never heard from anyone who owned one, except Talbert St. Claire who said he'd seen an early version. Then we had the Bloomfield Specifmen. And, since, I'm not aware of another of these surfacing.

Just doing my twice a year check-in to see if anyone else can report a sighting.

Thanks.

Dale

Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Dale,

With all due respect...It is obvious that you are the undisputed king of whistledome.

I am sure you could request a sample from Mr. Spilane or his marketing representitve to clear up all the confusion about weather or not this whistle even exists. Then when you are done sampling it you could raffle it of for some worthy cause. It would cause such a frenzy in whistledome that 100's of orders would pour in (added later ...for this imaginary whistle)

or you could just ask Bloomie for his Howard (sorry, I meant to say Spilane) low D and try it for yourself!!

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

I have a photo of a long, silver object over Mexico City taken by a friend of my cousin's aunt's nephew. I know it's real because it cost me $100 even though it was from a family member. Could this be one of those?
The Walrus

What would a wild walrus whistle if a walrus could whistle wild?

The second mouse may get the cheese but the presentation leaves a lot to be desired.
