It was more like sheep protest music. The sheep are singing and asserting themselves. They aren't going to take it anymore. They are tough sheep.

Well, I myself was shocked. I had to listen to it seven or eight times to make sure I had interpreted the lyrics correctly. Once I had finished laugh ... er ... I mean, once I had determined that this is completely unsuitable content for children and right-thinking Christians, I felt it incumbent upon me to issue the dire warning to Lambchop, with her nice white fleece and uh ... that is to say ... I mean .... um .... what was I saying?

. I didn't understand the words that well in a lot of places. I just picked up on the attitude. I can never understand the words in rock music--I guess this was rock music.

No so unusual,
years ago a guy was caught doing it with a cow in the Lincoln Park Zoo here in Chicago.
A radio DJ who also had his own rock band, Jonathan Brandmeier, immortalized the event with lyrics to a tune.
I recall it being quite a local hit on the radio station he worked for.

I also recall hearing that the perpetrator of the crime was endlessly taunted by fellow inmates singing that song when ever they saw him.

Well, djm, it seems like I didn't interpret things quite right there. I honestly don't know how you could make out what they were saying. I thought it was just talking about general disrespect for sheep

Denny, Bob Rivers sounds like quite a guy.

There was this poll on that website asking if the readers agreed with this policy:

Wal-Mart has had it with shoplifters- well, with PROSECUTING them, that is. It’s become expensive to punish everyone, so they’ve announced they will not be prosecuting anyone who swipes less than $20 worth on their first offense. Good idea?

Do you think this could be true?

Do to an unfortunate job change I no longer spend an hour plus in the morning listening to the morning drive time radio shows...

I do remember Bob's show from those days... It would be my guess that he believes that it is true. (and is most likely correct, he's a bright lad, but not infallible)
