photos from my vacation

Post by Walden »

Okay... so it was just an afternoon's trip to a nearby state park, but here are a few shots.

This is the top of Dripping Springs Falls, as viewed from an observation deck on a nearby cliff.

Image

This next shot is of one I took of one of the spring streams that lead to Dripping Springs Branch, a few feet before the falls.

Image

My father took this shot from among the trees near the bottom of the falls.

Image

The next one my father took of the entire falls. At the top, the water is pouring in from a small stream, and then part way down the cliff are springs on either side of it.

Image

And finally, a panorama shot he made. I'm just linking to it, as it is so wide.

Panorama.

Very nice.

I love waterfalls.

Those falls are a lot like the spring water Shiraito (White Thread) falls near where I live.

Nice photos, what a beautiful place.

How warm is it there?

It's my opinion - highly regarded (and sometimes not) by me. Peace y'all.

Nice photos!

Yup, Oklahoma does have some very gorgeous scenery when you know where to look!

There's really nothing quite like an Oklahoma sunset either. They can be absolutely stunning, with colors so rich you'll think your eyeballs are going explode! (Okay, not the best of imagery - I'm no poet.) (Keep in mind I grew up in Hawaii so I've had my share of beautiful sunsets and so feel qualified to make such judgements. :D )

We took a walk on the Sheep River trail -- apparently this falls is in the BB movie.

A lovely shot, as were the other photos of the Irish countryside that you and Flanum shared.

The movie "Where the Red Fern Grows" was shot at the spot where my photos were taken.

Very cool. Thanks for the compliments. I took 757 photos in 6 days, not quite up to my usual 1000+. Thankfully (as with most pros) 20% are quite usable - the other 80% are brackets and multiples (my camera shoots 7 frames per second - great for these precious moments).
