Oh, that's right. I forgot about all those "New Orleans before Katrina" associations. Sorry.

No No No.

Back in the dark and distant, anybody called Ignatius was about six and a half foot tall, had red curly hair, slobbered from the mouth and insisted on playing Viennese waltzes on a huge piano accordian with all base notes at full volume.

No No No.

And many a poor man that has roved,
Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.

A name I heard just once many years ago and liked a lot:

Saxon.

It was actually the name of a friend's brother, and I saw it painted on the side of his ice axe. I thought it was the brand name, until he put me straight. He got the short straw, being named Neil.

Just as long as your boy doesn't take up the Anglo concertina.
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that schwing

Sadly, it is also associated with a dodgy heavy metal band...
And whether the blood be highland, lowland or no.
And whether the skin be black or white as the snow.
Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong.

Ah, I guess you have to be of a certain age (and possibly nationality).

Boy, we didn't hear any of that kind of resentment the first time round, but then, the second kid always gets the shaft.

First kid, the parents spend weeks childproofing everything; second kid, they just turn a trashcan upside down over him and set a book on it.

First kid gets in utero spanish lessons; second kid gets to gum Taco Bell soft tacos with that bloody awful cheese sauce.

First kid gets a room full of specially designed, pediatric-sized musical instruments; second kid gets a stick and an oatmeal box.

But Gonzo - the second born gets to watch what a screw-up his elder sibling has been made. Then If there's any 3rd, 4th etc, #2 is number one and rules the roost, #1 never had a chance.

As for boy names - I like Aidan - it's almost exactly like the Turkish name Aydin and means the same thing - A great rising light. That's my boy's name. The in-laws call him Aidan and the outlaws call him Aydin :)
All the best!
