What about olives? My dogs won't eat them but if they did would the olives be toxic?

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

My wife's a veterinarian. No grapes (raisins), chocolate, or onions (cooked or uncooked).

So avoid Purina's Dog Chow with Chocolate Covered Raisins and Sauteed Onions, no matter how much Fluffy begs for it.

Also, "Greenies" are supposed to be bad. It is a green dental chew for dogs that looks like a chunky toothbrush.

Keep pennies off the floor, too. I was bringing my wife her forgotten
lunch once, but when I got there, she was busy breathing for a poor
puppy that had digested a penny. Apparantly, the zinc kills the red
blood cells, or something along those lines. Very sad.

As far as chocolate, it's the theobromine that is bad for the dog.

In humans, it's a mild euphoric, smooth muscle relaxer, and mood elevator--it's why chocolate "works."

In dogs, it's a hallucinogenic slow poison.

Bad for cats, too, but dogs are a lot more apt to be tempted by the stuff.

Thanks for the warning! Our retriever likes to jump up under the grape arbor and pick her own grapes! We'll put a stop to this in the fall, let me tell you.

Solve all your dog hassles. Have them all shot at dawn. Just think - no more winkling dogsh*t out of the tread of my shoes! No more faeces-tainted wet noses stuck up my crotch! No more stupid Jack Russells trying to have it off with my leg! Bring back human rights! :D

Steve, you'd best keep a close, close eye on Deej, there. :o
