Academy Awards???

Post by missy »

I usually pay no attention to Oscar night. I haven't seen any of the movies up for an award (and that's usually the way).

But I am rooting for George to get at least one tonight! I grew up with him, although I'm 3 years older. There's a great story in today's Cincinnati Enquirer about him, and I know all the people referenced in it. And the picture is how I remember him in grade school. I also remember the stuck VW and the pie in the face incident.

ah - it's my one "claim to fame"!!!

As was stated in the article, anyone that knew George back then just knew he was going to go into acting sooner or later. Whomever wrote the script for "Brother Where Art Thou?" and put him in that role must have known him as a kid, too - cuz he was always the "ringleader".

not to direct attention away from George (whom I love as well), but:

CRASH SCORED!!!!!

Boy, I was rooting for that one!

Not only the best movie I saw this year, but among the best movies I have ever seen.

Dale, what do you think ?

I thought Stewart did a great job. Usually the hosts just make me feel awkward, he was pretty darned funny. I especially liked the "Jewish Trilogy" joke about Spielberg.

According to The Oracle of Bacon, George Clooney has a Bacon number of 2.
George Clooney was in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) with Anna Silk.
Anna Silk was in Where the Truth Lies (2005) with Kevin Bacon.

Therefore, Missy has a Bacon number of 3.

(BTW, my Bacon number is 4.)

Even better. I was somewhat handicapped by not knowing more than a couple of Kevin Bacon movies, so I had to work my way to one I'd actually heard of.

That's a cool site. I once cooked french fries for Bob Hope, who was in The Muppet Movie (1979) with Steve Martin, who was in Novocaine (2001) with Kevin Bacon.

(2) Kevin Bacon starred in the movie Footloose.

So far, I've beaten all of your Bacon scores! :P

(2) Kelly Clarkson was in From Justin to Kelly :tomato::tomato::tomato: with Marc Macaulay
