Is the Pub Infested?
A relatively new divining stick called Myers Briggs personality typing has been pointed in the pub!
Like a lot of divining rods it tends to point in the dowser's area of interest on a statisically high basis.
Personally, I use a goat .. or a whistle, these seem to be interchangable at the moment (so it's a good thing that I don't have a goat).
Are we indeed infested with INFJs and INTJs??!!
Only time will tell - the Poll may be useful, but that's only according to my goat

I once did a test involving drawing a picture of a house, a snake, a path, a lake, a goat etc etc .. The tester proclaimed that I was "amoral !!!!". It wasn't until I got hold of a dictionary before I realised the compliment! Perhapse it had something to do with the fat tartan snake and polka-dot goat dancing a jig that I drew in the foreground

Re: Is the Pub Infested?
Obviously it is. Seems I'm an INFP, the 'Healer Idealist.' According to that I should be driven to heal the board of its infestation; becaust I can't possibly do that, now I'm all conflicted and stuff. Worse, my profile thingie says I have to perform some act of self-sacrifice to atone for my failure. Oh, great.Mitch wrote:Is the Pub Infested ....with INFJs and INTJs??!!

Here's an article on M-B type and leadership. W is an ISTJ - "3. Little Reanalysis - Once choice is made, will not change course, unless facts overwhelm them". The net is loaded with this stuff. http://cbae.nmsu.edu/~dboje/teaching/490_psl/step_6.htm
Dale - What's your take on all this?

Below is a link to professions by Myers-Briggs type.

My own take on Myers-Briggs is that it's pretty valid, interesting, and fun. It's also static. Knowing ones type doesn't offer much insight into growth and development.
I'm an INTP. Here's the INTP list. I have degrees in politcal science and policy analysis, have done a lot strategic planning design and management, and, new program development and implementation at work.

I design Computer Software (Software Designer) and Make Whistles (Arts & Crafts) and other things. Does that put me in both categories.
Maybe:
Left Handed
But blind in Left Eye (forces right eye and left hand coordination to cross both sides of brain)
Interested in many forms of science
Likes making things
I think I'm out of the box or I can't decide which one.
If I'm out of the box, does that make me the pest exterminator? Or maybe the pest.
