These are the little pleasures that make Chiff & Fipple such a joy in my life. Alan Mount has helped moderate these boards and has been the Daddy of the C&F chat room for I don't know how long. I recently sent him a baritone ukulele as a gift. He then sent me the following file which made me grin, warmed my heart, and did the same for Mrs. Undisputed. Enjoy:

He's really fun to sing along with! I'll have to play it for my honey when he comes home tonight. Very nice, Alan.

Nothing wrong with me then: big smile. :)

I'm with Cran on the Alan question; truly one of the joys of C&F for me.

I love Alan to death. I think he is grossly under-rated as a moderator, a chat-maintainer, and as a flute-maker, and part of it is his own modesty and virtual invisibility.

Alan is the kind of gentle, tolerant man who would never impose himself unless he absolutely has to, which is good for a moderator, but bad for somebody who wishes to sell flutes! That's why whenever he is mentioned, I direct people to his site:

Go Alan!! :)

Oh, and everybody should go to the site above and listen to the clips of his flutes.

I especially like Eanach Dhuin, even though I don't know how to say it or what it means. It's a really pretty rendition.

Aw, how cute. Jonny from Jump, Little Children used to sing this once in a blue moon when they were still touring.

*puts more rabbits on Alan's head in gratitude*

Tell us something.: Of course I'm not a bot; I've been here for years... Apparently that isn't enough to pass muster though!

I won't have speaker capability until tomorrow night, but I'll listen then and I know I'll be smiling! Alan's definitely my favorite pun-master and I can't believe Dale stole my idea of sending him a baritone ukelele!

And whether the blood be highland, lowland or no.
And whether the skin be black or white as the snow.
Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong.
As long as our hearts beat true to the lilt of a song.
