Batman was on TV and I heard what sounding like pennywhistles. I turn to look at the TV and sure enough, Batman, Robin, and Batgirl were playing pennywhistles! Why, I don't know. I'm not even sure what whistles they were playing, they were coloured: yellow, green, and I think blue. I thought they were possibly Acorns. Batman is the last show I'd expect to hear/see pennywhistles!

Didntya just kinda wonder about "Robin,"

I know 100% that I wasn't hallucinating, because my parents saw it too.
I tried to identify the tune, but have no earthly clue what it was. It was fast, probably a jig. They were playing it to ward off little yellow mice. That's all I really know.
I think it's a mystery - I can see it now. "Sara Drew, the Pennywhistle Detective in the new mystery: The Search for the Whistles"
Okay, so the title stinks, but it's all I could think of.

I've been holding off on this one for six months thinking someone else would mention it.Back in the last two weeks of January there was a whistle on one episode of Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda. With all the scifi fans on this board I'm surprised no one else saw it.It looked like a Clarke No Diamonds to me. It was not played and there has been no further mention of it. I just looked up the episode number. It is:
"Bunker Hill " - Episode #211
John

I recall seeing at least part of that episode. The climax was where they had to play music to robot mice programmed to follow musical instructions so they would go into the Gotham River before the time they were set to explode. Dale, we need more whistle mysteries, the ones we have are being solved too fast! I like JSW's new mystery sighting, too.
