Maybe this would be a good time to ask a question about the UP's ancestor... the pastureal pipes?

I think that you've about figured out why there are no more than probably 2500 or so people on the third planet from the sun who fool around with this particular styled instrument.

If I can do it........you can do it. Truth be told...EVERYONE has to sit with the instrument for a collective extended period of time and pay his or her dues. Hang in there.
And why only a couple of dozen actually can play them well enough to be called "pipers."

If...If...If...?

Hmm. Define "do it."

Hey man...go ask Bill Clinton what "if" and 'is" means. While you're at it...ask him what doin' it is. I'm not sure what those words mean and I think there are many different ideas about what "doin' it" really is.

It is my opinion that anyone that can play the pipes is knpwn and as earned the right to be called a "piper". I do however see that you could categorize the more skillful pipers as 'TALENTED PIPERS" or "ACHIEVED PIPERS", but limiting the club to a couple dozen is disrespectful and regretable.

just my opinion........ :)

Ain't gonna happen. No "piper" would talk the way this attention seeker talks. Understand that it is not possible to communicate in a mature adult manner with a disordered individual who's emotionally retarded. It doesn't matter how you react, the fact that someone like this has successfully provoked a reaction is, to him, a sign that he's been successful. Best to ignore ignorance.
