Better the question than the man hisself. Oi, Bono... NO!!!

Shouldn't people be finding U2 fossils by now?

BTW, djm, IMHO that was rude, man.
And whether the blood be highland, lowland or no.
And whether the skin be black or white as the snow.
Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong.

Sonny Bono?

I'm not pretending to be confused here. Who the heck is Bono?

Here's a suggestion. There are many worthy variations on this tactic. Next time you're asked that question try answering with enormous enthusiasm: Not Bono, no. But I knew Frank Harte who taught him everything he knew.

Then sit back and wait. In 6 months time Mojo will run a feature article on how Bono learned his style from little-known Dublin singer Frank Harte but won't admit it now the secret is out.

Bono is the singer/frontman for the rock group U2.

Superb idea Wombat.
I've always wanted to be the source of an International scandal.
Frank Harte has done more for the reputation of Dublin than Bono ever has so it would be a classic case of two birds with one stone

dubhlinn.

me bein a culchie and all, i have to say its mad livin in dublin for the fact that fame doesnt really exist. maybe its an irish thing. its cool really, but ive just noticed it more since i came to dublin.
last night i was standing behind samantha mumba in spar while she was buyin bread.. nobody gave a sh*t, she was just samantha from down the road.
im headin to cobblestone now and will most likely be drinkin with the collins(traveller family) lads. thayve been in tons of films. might go to hughes later where i could bump into brendan gleeson or sean mcglynn.
nobody gives a sh*t. i think i love this country! :)
Listen to me young fellow, what need is there for fish to sing when i can roar and bellow?

Tha's very true Flanum.
Dublin has always been a very classless place where you are taken for what you are as opposed to who you are.
I can remember one evening in Mulligans of Poolbeg street when meself, two bus drivers - off duty i hoped - David Norris and Brendan Keanealy had a great crack in a fast flowing conversation that covered Oliver St. John Gogarty, Bob Dylan, Planxty and the price of the beer amongest other things.

My plan is to be in the Cobblestones next saturday night.I'm six foot, bearded and wear a black leather jacket and herself , well I don't know what she'll be wearing but seeing that she is all of 4' 10'' we should not be hard to spot if you are there.I'll probably be there a few times during the week - Mrs. and sisters permitting  - so keep your eyes open.

Loved and thought himself beloved,

I was on a skipjack on the St. Mary's River yesterday. (Visiting daughter in college--family weekend.) The boat's captain was a waterman by the name of Jack Russell. Naturally, more than one of the passengers had something to say about that and he, remarkably, at 62, still delivered his retort with no hint of disgust: "When I was born, my mother took one look at me and said 'this world's going to the dogs.'"
