Yes, we couldn't have agreed only with the eight of you in the hours left to talk about the wait for those lovely flutes in the pub you saw them in.

He said playing flutes on Sunday was fine but I just don't know where or what time. Exactly how could anyone mistake a flute for a drumstick? :boggle:

Before my flute arrived, I was just frantic with anticipation . . . checking the net constantly to see if it was time . . . oh, dear, oh, dear, oh dear . . . the suspense . . . hour by hour . . .

I have noticed that my technique on the flute, too, benefits from my whistle practice, and am waiting anxiously for my next breakthrough. A favorite location for practicing is on one of the benches down by the pond. Though I had to go through a number of spider web obstacle courses to get there this morning. After I got the path reopened, I serenaded the dogs and frogs.

Don't you find that when others have mistaken any flute for a drum stick that it has influence on your morale around the critters of this frog- and spider-ridden place you have chosen to practice?

I think the experience of playing in a Pub is one way to go about closing the gap of general musical ignorance about instruments. If there was an experiment to see how people can be familiarised, that's one way to go. When people have regular activity on the musical front, even if it's as a listener, other misapprehensions can be thrown fora loop. Nice to think things might change. I'm suspicious about elitists that want to keep their realm lofty and out of the way. Did you notice by the way that there's no confusion in the past or now about a Ukelele or a washboard? Let's add to public knowledge, carry on for non-ignorance (even if it be r*c*rd*rs, too, while we're at it, shall we?)

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

But I guess you gotta filter out the spambots.
