Irish Arts Week on CJAD Aug 9th

Post by moxy »

Hey everyone.

I'm a volunteer for the CJAD Irish Radio Show which airs once a month. The next show is on August 9th at 7pm EST. You can listen to it here: http://www.cjad.com/ (near the top, you should see a link that says "Listen online here!").

I've put together a 3-minute piece about my week in the Catskills in July. Have a listen!!

They keep talking about archiving our shows, but haven't done so yet. Hopefully that will be in the near future. I can come back to this thread once it IS archived and update you all about it.

Jack, in 3 minutes, there wasn't enough time to get to the good stuff about you :) Keep in mind all the Jackie Daly jokes and prose I got, and there's Guillaume, Steve and Brad to think about too...

But you'll hear Kevin Henry to be sure. I hope you'll like that!

Yeah, you're right. 3 minutes isn't enought time to do "anything" properly

If you listen to the whole show, you might hear an advert for Siamsa, Montreal's school of irish music and dance. I did that.

Oh yeah, and might I add that I created the whole piece and the advert with nothing other than my iRiver :)

Jack, I DID mention you, in a way - I mentioned San Francisco...

Nice job, Kelly! Jackie Daly will be more careful about booking his room now I expect. Nice editing and mixing job as well. Fair play to ya!

I caught it, too. Sweetness. But I think they cut you off at the end there, eh?

Great job. :)

Thanks guys!!

Yes, they cut it off with about 30 seconds left to go... too bad, Kevin Henry sounds greatest just when they cut him off!

And there was nice exit music too...

All the music used to cue themselves back into the show after commercial breaks was recorded in East Durham during the same week :)

I have the entire 3-minute clip here if someone could help me post it for you all to listen to. It's 16MB though... Is that too large? Can someone host it for me?
