Don't forget your compass, plastic bags, maps, sunscreen, MOSQUITO REPELLENT, life jacket, hat, emergency whistle, uh, there's more but...

I love the Boundary Waters. Just done day trips inside, but what a place. Have a great time!

I talked to someone who knew a guy who had a moose come up right under his kayak. The moose didn't eat him though.

He said it was to "the boundary waters," which Cynth later tells us is really the Boundary Waters . . . http://www.bwcaw.org .

Not a beach on the coast, but a recreational area in Minnesota. Sounds fun!

Oh, the importance of the shift key!

Are muskies the same thing as Northern Pike? We call 'em squawfish here.

Muskies (short for muskellunge) are pikes like Northerns and Walleyes, but BIGGER. Bih-hig-ger. One thinks of one's danglies with trepidation. Not that I've ever heard of such a thing, but still.

Squawfish? In California??? How bewilderingly un-PC of you all.
