Wombles! What's up with the avatar? Is that really you?
The gent on the left really is Fatso. No that isn't me, but we're related. The funny little man on the right is H.G. Nelson (aka, Greg Pickhaver) and part of the comedy duo, Roy and H.G. Fatso was their mascot on a show called The Dream which was a satire on sports commentary that ran during the Sydney Olympics.

The Dream was hilarious. Amongst many running gags, they'd do commentary on sports that really get little coverage and also some that get a little too much coverage. So weightlifting and Greco-Roman wrestling got well-covered. When commenting on weightlifting, they'd talk as though every failure to make a lift was due to the contestant forgetting what to do next. They invented a rather racy vocabulary all their own for gymnastics. Certain moves got to be known as the battered sav, the 'hello boys' and the 'honey, I'm home'. I'll leave it to your imaginations to guess which.

If there is ever an award for the longest time spent in choosing an avatar, Wombat will be a clear winner

A toilet seat makes a good substitute. Please remember to remove it from the toilet before use.

Well done Amar, the Scots are the only people to rival Northerners for ugly. I think the Americans take themselves too seriously to be good at gurning.

amar, you look like the poster child for the valsalva maneuver. Excellent timing, though, getting that pic snapped just before the blood started running out the corners of your eyes.

perrins, you look like you were standing behind amar while he was taking that picture.

But seriously, boys. Didn't your mamas tell you that your face could get stuck like that?
