Photos from Colorado, Utah and New Mexico
Some of you may or may not know that I disappeared for six weeks this summer because I was busy out west at geology field camp.
Anywho, I'm back, and here are some pretty pictures for y'all:

I'm surprised by the diversity of the temperatures. You have pictures of folks in shorts andTelegramSam wrote:Some of you may or may not know that I disappeared for six weeks this summer

teeshirts, then of people in coats and scarves... It reminds me of Mount Haleakala in Maui.
80 degrees in the day, 40 deg. and windy as soon as the sun goes down.
BTW, I like your scarf. I've been knitting a Dr. Who-style scarf of a similar length.
It's taking forever!

OK, now that I'm home, let me take a few guesses:
Clayton Lake, New Mexico?
Syenite outcropping?
Devil's Thumb, Colorado?
Spanish Peaks, Colorado?
Along Interstate 40 in the Texas panhandle, near the leaning water tower?
