Gig Announcement--Quin in San Francisco

Post by feadogin »

For those of you in the Bay Area:

I'll be having another guest appearance with the band Quin at the Plough & Stars in San Francisco, Friday April 22nd around 9:30 pm. The band will be featuring myself on whistle, Conall O' Raghallaigh on uilleann pipes, Kieran Marsden on flute, Michael Stack on fiddle, Tedd Colt on guitar and Doreen O"Reilly, vocals.

Great traditional tunes with a song or two thrown in....

Hope to see some of you there,

Justine

C'mon now.
If you come, you can post a scathing review of our performance.
I can see it now...."They played a tune composed after 1920! And they had a guitar! How untraditional!" :P

And they didn't let me come up and play with them!

I didn't realize this was going to be such an incendiary post. :P

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it. I've played with Conall at a session or two and was really impressed by him. Sounds like it should be a fun gig!

You were codependent in this one, Justine. Totally threw me off and I forgot to congratulate you and wish you good luck. Too late now...

Jack and I were hoping to come up and play polkas together.

my enthusiastic recommendation to come see Quinn play tomorrow night at the Plough. I've only seen them once before as a bonafide band per se (though most of them play together at the Sunday session at the Bodhran), but already they're by far my favorite local Itrad band.

oh and by the way...Justine rocks.

I'd go if I could...but commitments prevent it. Sigh.
