C&F Better than Drinking

Post by Lambchop »

Searching the archives for "sardines," I came across this tidbit in a thread from 2003. Originally posted by Herbivore12, this is the best illustration of why I read C&F . . . it's so much better than drinking.
Lord Sainsbury of Turville:
. . . These statistics on accidents are extremely fascinating; they prove that the British public can use practically anything in this world to hurt themselves with. It is understandable that there are an estimated 55 accidents a year from putty, while toothpaste accounts for 73. However, it is rather bizarre that 823 accidents are estimated to be the result of letters and envelopes. . . .

According to my search, there's been no mention of anchovies in a year.

If papers & letters give as good papercuts as the stuff we are forced to use at work, I can quite imagine them being responsible for lots of accidents.

I remember that thread too! I wonder how many accidents are caused by sardines?
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that schwing

I proudly brought a can of sardines to work today in honor of this thread.

Where's Peggy been lately?

C&F better than drinking? The space between my eyebrows squeezes together and draws upward at the idea. I'll give it a super-close second.
