Biorythmically low.
Here's today:
I got lost driving to the same hair place I've gone to 50 times.
I hung a picture on the wall with the following casualties--
2 holes in my fingers from the multistrand wire
1 gouge in my wrist from trying to pry staples out of the frame
with a screwdriver.
I completely demolished both picture hanger nails with a hammer before
convincing them to go through the drywall.
I broke a wine glass in the sink washing dishes.
My kid asked me how to spell "arrest" and I said "r-a-a-e-s-t"
I'm trying not to do anything else.

I get like that sometimes... around, um, a certain time of the month... I blame it on hormones.

I never eat the stuff. Just a couple chicken backs (or thighs if you want the meat) provide a great broth. Maybe add a teaspoon or couple cubes of bouillon and bingo. Great soup.avanutria wrote:I don't care if Campbell's chicken noodle soup is cruel and evil. It's important comfort food, and it's not sold in this country. I had a friend mail me four cans, and I'm rationing them for when I reeeally need them.
Best with Ritz crackers in. I think they sell some form of those here...
I just got over a week of flu-hell and chicken soup was my best friend.

We just had a big huge pot of Lentil soup here last night. There's another cold going through the house, and it was the perfect thing to eat.emmline wrote:Miso soup with lots of noodles makes a good alternative for the veg crowd.
Oh, and emm, I get exactly the way you described all too often. Wish I knew a "cure all" but alas, I don't. Lately it's been happening more and more....I wonder if it's because I'm getting older.

It seems like all the things you messed up were really boring details of everyday life. Usually when I do this it is because my mind is thinking about something else, something more interesting so I am not really thinking about what I am doing. I mean who would really want to "be here now" when you are washing the dishes? But it can be inconvenient and dangerous to not be in the moment when you are driving, washing glasses, etc. So sometimes I have to tell myself "Cynth, pay attention to this or you will get hurt. Finish and then go on to more interesting places in your mind." Did you have something else going on in your mind when these mishaps occured? Were you preoccupied (that is actually a great word for it)? If not then maybe you are too tired or coming down with something.

I know how you feel. The other day I spent 15 minutes looking for my cell phone .....
..... while I was talking on it.
