Cool! Welcome joshjess :)

BTW all, I just discovered that the blu-tac tweak works great on a Sweetone... Well, it did on my unpainted D, anyhow. Really earns its name now.
And whether the blood be highland, lowland or no.
And whether the skin be black or white as the snow.
Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong.

whistlerroberto wrote:Welcome Josh. This is a quite amusing and fun place to be :D. I asked a simple question about woodstocks, and now we are obsessed with woodstocks/clarkes/megs . It's only on the internet that you can talk about an instrument, and then a high up from the company that makes the instruments casually comes along to give input. Cool! I know you'll have fun here. Are you ever going to drop by the chatroom? I'm a regular on there, but I've been away for awhile, as I've been using public computers for all my internet stuff, as my computer has a trojan on it :x !

Whistlerroberto (or just plain Rob)
I do visit the chatroom, hope to be on it later, thing is I have to remember that I am 6-8 hours in front of most on this board!! as for trojans what a pain.

Maybe we should supply a bit of blu tack with each Sweetone!

Why did I half expect vomitbunny to crop up and quip: "Serves you right for eating it..."

Welcome. The Clarke original C was the first whistle I ever played. I still have my C and a newer D and would not part with them. There's just something about them. The Sweetones, on the other hand...I keep expecting one of those party favor noise maker things to roll out the other end...

The Sweetones that have the party favor thing that shoots out the end of it are the new Vomitwhistle line. I don't think they are out yet.
They may wind up being called the Vomitone, i suppose.

Tell us something.: Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Part of what I love about celtic/folk style music is the sound of a handful of handmade instruments that remind me of simpler times.

Welcome Ian,

I can tell you I have a Clarke Original, and my two sons have Clarkes, one a Sweetone, and the other a Meg—they like them very much!

Welcome, Ian! I have quite a few Sweetones that my children are learning on. It's a great whistle.
VB, I don't think I could EVER play a whistle that's called the Vomitone. :P

but it shoots a little thingie out the end when you blow on it, like a party favor.........and then curls back up when you stop.
My opinion is stupid and wrong.
