Sean Reid's was a tune Willie Clancy learned from his father, it used to be known as 'Gilbert Clancy's' Obviously Sean liked it and his name got attached to it. It's a reel version of the jig/song Bimid ag ol..
Reid played and collected pipes, his boxwood Coyne is possibly one of the finmest sets of pipes I have ever seen. He was als ofiddle playert, pianoplayer, foundermember, driver and longtime leader of the Tulla Ceili band, he blew the drones on WIllie Clancy's Gael Lin 78 rpms and played the regulators on many of Willie's recordings made by Ciaran Macmathuna.
