That child seems to be showing genuine intent! I think you've definitely got a future chiffer there, Izz, or at least a future teenager with a pic to be highly embarrassed about. :)

That's great, Heather! I hope you won't mind if I add mine to this thread, too. :)

Great pic.

And many a poor man that has roved,
Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.

I have been working on my grandaughter when I can (See my avatar) but it's hard to keep her in one place long enough.

My daughter Joey has been hearing whistles and flutes since her ears became ears in the womb. She does watch me and listen, but it's old hat. When I play shakuhachi, which I just picked up a couple of weeks ago, she flat-out beams at me. She loves it!

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

We put our 11 year old to bed last night after doing a couple of youth songs he is learning for a church presentation. Renee and I then started playing a couple of songs. During one break we could hear him in his room doing some sort of sing-song that sounded a little bit like what we were playing. That sure brought a smile to our faces.

Renee then told me that at Back to School night she read in his journal that he does not mind some of the music his parents play on their flutes and whistles.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

This boy is a keeper!

If I can at least accomplish the latter, then I'll have accomplished much!

And can you believe he figured that one out all by himself? I'd say I have a virtuoso here, but then of course I could be a wee bit biased
