It's got to be Terrapins! They are the most important issue at the moment.

All the Best,

I had to go for the turtles...I honestly had a dream two nights ago about little turtles with shells that kept falling off and had to be super-glued back on.

Very interesting poll, Walden. It certainly got me thinking about things.

Fried Okra is da bomb, yo.

Even better than a nice MLT (Mutton, Lettuce, and Tomato... when the mutton is nice and lean...)

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Wombat, Amar: what has failed to be brought up about fried okra are 1) the breading or batter on them, depending on who's doing the frying, and 2) a quick cooking time to keep the snot factor near nil. I would vote for fried okra, but terrapins and box toitles are cutie-pies...ah, such a wealth of choices.

You mean Oprah Winfrey? Her show's syndicated. Just depends what local station chooses to carry it, regardless of network.

I voted for the Waldco flashlight 'cause thanks to the remnants of Ivan, heading our way, I'll be needing one soon (practical, those scots). And because Amar is right...okra, in any state, is, well... just plain wrong.

Okra's about my favorite vegetable. We always ate it boilt in stew or rolled in cornmeal and fried, and the smaller pods were saved and boilt with the black eyed peas. With the exception of the latter, they were sliced up first. Hmm... I think I'll go pay Grandma a visit about dinnertime. Uh oh... it's already almost one P.M.... that ship has sailed for today.
